Alliance Française de Melbourne
Founded in 1890, the Alliance Française de Melbourne is a not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of French language and culture, and the only French cultural centre in Victoria. It is the state’s largest French language centre, with around 4,000 enrolments and more than 70,000 people taking part in its cultural programme in 2025, and the only accredited centre in Victoria for the diplomas issued by the French Ministry of Education.
Alliance Française de Sydney
The Alliance Française de Sydney (AFS) is an independent, not-for-profit language and cultural organisation promoting Franco-Australian exchange. With an ambitious mission to spread the French language and culture well beyond the borders of France, it is one of 813 Alliances Françaises in 138 countries all over the world and the most highly regarded school for learning French in Sydney.
