Every year, the world reads one dish closely.
Bœuf bourguignon is the argument that never ends — the cut, the wine, the hours, whether lardons are negotiable. On the second Thursday of August, kitchens everywhere put it on the pass and settle nothing at all.
The charter
Agreed by every member of the dayWe cook bœuf bourguignon as it was handed down — slowly, with good wine, and without trying to reinvent it. We serve or share it on 13 August, and on that day each year thereafter. And when we speak of the day, we name it fully: World Beef Bourguignon Day, founded by Chef Sébastien Houillon and the founders of Délidoor.
The register,

Every member of the day is entered and numbered. Entries stay in the record after the day passes — n°01 will still be n°01 in 2036.
